Looking within the universities for scholarships, there are typically two types of awards offered, Merit Scholarships and Need-Based Awards. Merit awards are offered for accomplishments in academics, sports, or creative arts, while Need-Based awards are based on family income. The information regarding these awards is available on each university’s website.

Beyond the university, other sources of scholarships may be the parent’s employer, student’s employer, local clubs, associations, and civic groups.
